JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man armed with a handgun went into a San Jose Forest bank and fled with cash Wednesday.

Police responded to the Suntrust Bank in the 6300 block of St. Augustine Road Wednesday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. following reports of an armed man coming into the bank, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The unidentified armed suspect approached the teller and demanded an undetermined amount of cast, JSO detailed.

Once the suspect had cash in hand, he fled the scene on foot, according to police.

The suspect is described as a male approximately 6-foot tall, 200 pounds and around thirty to forty years old. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing dark, bulky clothing and hooded jacket.
