JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was shot late Tuesday night on the Northside.

Police responded to the 3500 block ofBessent Road at 10:43 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of a person shot, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO found Fernald Myers Brown with a gunshot wound on his left shoulder and one on his left foot, according to a JSO report.

Brown was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is underway in the College Park area of the Northside where the man was found.
