ST. JOHNS, Fla. -- A tractor trailed on fire shut down traffic on I-95 Tuesday evening.

According to St. Johns County Fire Resce, crews arrived on the scene to find a tractor trailer fully engulfed in flames on Interstate 95 southbound near mile marker 299.

All southbound lanes were closed due to the fire.

JFRD advised motorists to take alternate routes and avoid the area due to heavy congestion and multiple fire and law enforcement apparatus operating in the area.

Traffic was diverted to U.S. 1 for safety purposes.

There was not any hazardous material in the vehicle, according to JFRD.
