ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Some much needed work on the sewer system is underway in St. Augustine, Florida.
Although underground, it's part of a bigger project that will make that part downtown more attractive. It's to prepare for a much bigger streetscape project that starts next year.
The sewer line is very old in St. Augustine. The work being done will strengthen it so that larger pieces of equipment can go over it when the bigger projects start in the spring.
That project will beautify the Hypolita and a few other streets, luring tourists to the area instead of staying on St. George St. only.
That bigger project will also address some of the underground needs like the sewer line and make them more affective.
