JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two women were hospitalized after trash thrown from a truck caused their vehicle to crash on I-295 Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Cherish Sheree Marrs, 22, was driving north on I-295 near Pritchard Road around 11:40 a.m. with Danielle Renee General, 23.

Just ahead of Marrs' Honda Accord was a red pick-up truck.

According to FHP, the passenger in the truck began to throw trash out of the window. The trash hit Marrs' car causing her to go around the truck.

The truck steered to the right and hit the her car, causing the Accord to flip, according to FHP.

Marrs and General were taken to UF Health in critical condition.

FHP is now searching for the red pick-up truck.

The truck is described as midsized, with dark tinted windows and a "Salt Life" sticker on the back window. The truck also has possible damage to the right rear side, according to FHP.
