JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- As the clocks rolled back on Sunday for Daylight Saving Time, so has the amount of days that Duval County residents are allowed to water their lawns.

Since the winter months are beginning, the amount of watering a lawn needs will decrease.

According to a release from the city, "Residential properties with an address that ends in an odd number or places without an address may water on Saturday and addresses that end in an even number may water on Sunday. Non-residential irrigation is only permitted on Tuesday."

Those who violate watering restrictions could receive a ticket for $50 on the first violation and $250 for the second and third violations.

Homeowners may go back to a two-day-per-week watering schedule on March 9.

For more information on watering restrictions, please visit the city's website or the St. Johns River Water Management District.
