JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- All indications are that the Mathews Bridge will be repaired by Saturday Nov 2, but it's not a guarantee.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has a plan b if the bridge is closed.
It will be the same plan used when the Jacksonville Jaguars played against the Chargers.

The Hart Bridge will become one-way into downtown, using all four lanes for game traffic.

The people who are traveling to Downtown Jacksonville, not going to the game, will not be able to go east over the Hart Bridge. The traffic on all lanes will go westbound to the stadium.

According to Assistant Chief Leonard Propper with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the plans are for the City Public Works Department to build a new temporary ramp from Atlantic Blvd. to the wrong way ramp onto the Hart Bridge. This should help move traffic even faster. The construction for this project will begin Tuesday.

Motorists can also get on the wrong way to the Hart Bridge off Art Museum Drive.

Unlike last weekend Jaguars game, motorists will not have a choice about going the wrong way or not.

JSO will funnel traffic onto the wrong way side if the Hart Bridge backs up on the normal in-town lanes.

JSO urges everyone who on going to the Florida vs. Georgia game to arrive early. The stadium gates open at 1:30 p.m.

Sign boards will be up on major roadways throughout the city with parking information.
