BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) -- A videotaped police interview shows a Georgia man charged with killing his father and seven extended family members inside a mobile home telling police he's not the killer.

A Brunswick jury on Friday watched the video in which 26-year-old Guy Heinze Jr. tells police he could not have committed the slayings, saying "that was my family."

The Florida Times Union reports ( ) Heinze told police had had smoked $100 worth of crack cocaine in the hours before he found the bodies on Aug. 29, 2009.

The Brunswick News reports Heinze blamed contradictions between his videotaped interview and earlier statements he made to police on the fact that he had been "messed up" on drugs.
