Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jason Frasor is returning to the Texas Rangers.
The veteran reliever could have tested the market as a free agent. Instead, he signed a one-year contract on Friday to remain with the Rangers.
Frasor, 36, made 61 appearances in his first season with Texas, going 4-3 with a 2.57 earned run average.
The right-hander has spent the bulk of his 10-year career with Toronto. He has compiled a 30-34 record with a 3.67 ERA and 36 saves in 586 games, all but 81 with the Blue Jays. Frasor also played a portion of the 2011 season with the Chicago White Sox.
