BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. - A Clay County woman is facing charges after allegedly driving a 4-year-old boy to Palm Bay without his parent's permission.

Aiden Joseph Waters was in the care of his babysitter 26-year-old Jessica Leigh Cox, when he went missing Thursday according to the Bradford County Sheriff's Office.

Aiden was located safe with Cox by the Palm Bay Police Department early Friday morning; nearly 200 miles south of his home.

Cox is facing DUI charges in Brevard County and will also face charges in Bradford County for child neglect and interference with child custody.

Aiden's father Kenneth Waters was reunited with his son late Friday morning in Brevard County after coming home from work around 5 p.m. Thursday and finding his son and Cox were not at the home. Kenneth was able to communicate with Cox via text messaging and she advised him Aiden was fine and they were at a friend's house.

Kenneth contacted the friend who allegedly denied seeing Cox for several days.

Kenneth searched on his own for his Aiden and contacted the BCSO at approximately 11:10 p.m. for help.

Deputies searched overnight for Aiden and Cox and believed the babysitter was heading to the Port St. Lucie area.

Cox was charged with DUI in Clay County in January of 2009. She was also given a traffic citation for driving without her seat belt in July of 2012.

First Coast News will update as we learn more on this developing story.
