A Florida homeowner got an unpleasant surprise when she discovered her in-ground pool popped out of the ground.
Jessica Pedraza drained the pool to clean it Sunday. That night, the pool had risen above the ground. She called 911, thinking there was a sinkhole.
But it turned out groundwater under the pool forced the pool up and out of the ground.
Pedraza thought the damage would be covered by insurance, but her company told her they'll likely deny her claim.
"You pay for an insurance policy assuming that you have coverage and the coverage isn't actually there when you go to file the claim," said Jessica Pedraza, homeowner.
Pedraza says her insurance company offered her $1,500, which is roughly the cost of sending out one of their engineers to check out the damage.
