DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - If you're heading to the beach in Volusia County on Friday -- step lightly.

Large jellyfish are in the water and washing up on the beach in Daytona Beach.

Several beach safety officers swimming drills earlier were stung.

Officials said there are sea nettles floating in the water, too. They don't sting, but they irritate if they get in a swimmer's suit.

An on-shore wind is bringing the marine life into shallow waters.
