SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Adobe Systems has issued a consumer alert after revealing it was the victim of a cyber attack.

The company, which makes Photoshop and other software, said the hackers may have accessed nearly 3 million customers' credit card information.

Adobe is now in the process of notifying customers who are at risk. In the meantime, it recommends customers keep an eye on their accounts and reset their passwords.

The San Jose, Calif.-based company said it is also investigating illegal access to the source codes of numerous Adobe products.
