MIAMI (AP) - Tropical Storm Karen is 630 miles from Jacksonville moving toward the northern gulf. It should make landfall sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning. Winds are down to 60 mph and the system is struggling to organize.
A Hurricane Watch is in effect from Grand Isle Louisiana to west of Destin Florida. On it's current path, Karen will be a rain maker for us on Sunday. If the storm takes a hard right then thunderstorms and severe weather could be in our forecast.
On the current track it looks like the system will remain a tropical storm.
