VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says it's having intermittent trouble with the 911 system.

The problem is affecting both cellphones and landlines.

Officials say some 911 callers are getting a recording message rather than a real operator.

Officials are working with AT&T to resolve the issue, but in the meantime, anyone with an emergency who can't reach help through 911 should dial 386-252-4911.

That is the sheriff's emergency communications center, where calls will be answered.
