TAMPA, Fla. (WTSP) -- A Tampa couple welcomed their fourth child into the worldsafely in their car on a busy highway Tuesday afternoon thanks to the help of aFlorida Highway Patrol trooper.

FHP says Wiclef Desamour and his wife, Latoya, who was in labor, were rushingto St. Joseph's Hospital east on I-4 between Hillsborough Avenue and U.S.Highway 301 when they knew they weren't going to make it in time. They pulledover and called out to Trooper Dennis Rich, who was investigating a trafficcrash in the eastbound lanes, for help.

Realizing the baby was on its way, Trooper Rich helped deliver a healthy babygirl the couple named Arabella. Soon after, Hillsborough County Fire Rescuearrived and took Latoya and Arabella to the hospital.

The Desamours add to their family of three other children which includes aseven-year-old daughter, five-year-old son, and an 18-month-old daughter.
