JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An unknown masked man entered a Wendy's restaurant at 8625 Baymeadows Road with a gun and demanded money Saturday night.

According to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office incident report, the masked man came into the kitchen area and demanded money around 7:30 p.m.

He fired a warning shot at the ground and forced an employee into the office to open the store's safe. The employee put the money into a gray backpack and the suspect fled the store foot and headed west.

No one was hurt during the robbery. According to the report, the unknown suspect was also wearing a black gloves, baggy blue jeans and a black hoodie.

Officers, air units and K-9s were dispatched to search for the suspect, but he was not located.

As of 9 p.m. Saturday, the restaurant was still closed for investigation.
