PONTE VEDRA, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a man suspected in a burglary and an armed robbery.

The burglary occurred early Saturday at the Gate gas station, 220 State Road A1A, according to a release from SJSO Sgt. Catherine Payne. The suspect was dressed in all black and forced his way into the gas station.

The armed robbery happened after 3 a.m. Sunday at the Kangaroo station located at Marlin Road and State Road A1A. The suspect, who was wearing a mask, allegedly threatened the clerk with a firearm and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Payne said.

Detectives describe the suspect as being in his late teens to early 20s, lean build, light brown hair and between 5'11" to 6'2" tall.
