JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- New concerns arose Friday about what's in the St. Johns River.

The St. Johns Riverkeeper said there have been reports of algae blooms.

Bright green algae has been spotted in several locations including San Marco, Ortega and near Jacksonville University.

Officials say the outbreak has been significant. The Department of Environmental Protection was taking samples Friday.
