DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- It's the official grand opening of the newest thrill ride in Daytona Beach.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the boardwalk's Sandblaster will be held on Friday.

WESH 2's Claire Metz tested it out when it opened to riders earlier this month.

It drops 68 feet and reaches speeds up to 50 mph.

It costs $6 per ride or $15 and you can ride three times.

Visitors said its a great addition to the boardwalk.
