JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Justin Bieber fever is starting to take hold of Jacksonville.

The pop music sensation is performing at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena downtown at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Thousands of people are expected to attend. Some of them camped outside of the arena overnight.

Three girls celebrated their birthdays together in a tent with Justin Bieber posters, pillows, blankets and a fan.

Their hope was he would arrive early so they could catch a glimpse of him before anyone else.

Their plan didn't quite work out, but one of the girls told First Coast News she wasn't disappointed.

"He's just like my idol, and it's just surreal we get to see him down in Jax," said Rayven Toonk.

The Bieber concert is also impacting traffic around the arena.

A section of Adams Street that runs parallel to the arena's parking garage is down to one lane.

A.P. Randolph is expected to close entirely before the show.

Parking will also not be allowed on A.P. Randolph as the meters are covered up.
