JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars Foundation presents the Jaguars 50/50 Raffle for Charity, which will kick off with First Coast No More Homeless Pets on August 9th.
Each game, fans can purchase raffle tickets, with a chance to be the big winner. Half of the pot money accumulated during the game will go to one winner. The other half will benefit the Jaguars Foundation and a co-recipient charity.
"This is a unique opportunity for the fans to support the team's mission of community outreach," said Peter Racine, president of the Jaguars Foundation. "Not only does this new initiative benefit the Jaguars Foundation's programs, it also benefits other organizations and causes that are important to our fans. The 50/50 raffle provides another avenue of our commitment to the Jacksonville community."
During each home game, volunteers will sell raffle tickets to fans. There will be four permanent kiosks; located on the main concourse by the Bud Zone and the North End Zone, and on the upper deck East and West Concourses.
Also, eight mobile sellers will be in the pre-game tailgate areas and in the stadium during the game, through the end of the third quarter.
The winning raffle ticket number will be announced during the fourth quarter of the game. Winners do not need to be present to win.
To inaugurate the Jaguars 50/50 Raffle for Charity, First Coast No More Homeless Pets will be the co-recipient charity at the August 9th game against the Miami Dolphins.
"We are so grateful to the Jaguars organization for this opportunity to raise much needed funds to help the many animals in need. It takes an entire community to become no kill and we are thrilled the Jaguars Foundation is helping us reach that mission," said Rick DuCharme, Founder and Executive Director of First Coast No More Homeless Pets.
The co-recipient for the second preseason game on August 24th is Family Promise...Helping Homeless Families With Children. The opening regular season game co-recipient is the J.T. Townsend Foundation.
