UPDATE 8/7/13: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as Wesley Bridges.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One man is dead after an early morning shooting at a South Side apartment complex.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide Sgt. T.K. Waters said a couple of people were waiting for a ride inside Park View Place Apartments. Three men approached the group around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, had a conversation, and then shots were fired.

A white male in his thirties was taken to UF Health Jacksonville where he succumbed.

Sgt. Waters would not say where the victim was shot or how many times. Waters also would not comment on who else was with the victim at the time of the shooting.

JSO is not releasing any description on the male suspects they are seeking other than they are three black men.

The investigation is ongoing and active.
