PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of two yellow school buses from the Flagler County Public Schools garage on State Road 100.

The theft took place on July 27 and was reported to the FCSO on Monday by Michael Judd of Flagler Schools, according to a release from Public Information Officer Lt. Bob Weber.

The All American buses #20604 and #20605, which are valued at $60,000 each, were taken between 9 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. on July 27, Judd told police.

According to Judd's account, video surveillance shows a white passenger car enters the garage lot after the security lock was cut on the gate at Bulldog Drive. The car leaves the frame, reappears, and the two buses are seen sitting at the gate before turning toward State Road 100.

The GPS systems on the buses were also disabled around 9:09 p.m. on July 27, the release said.
