Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Phillies third baseman Michael Young could be on his way out of town after the team selected the contract of third baseman Cody Asche from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.
Young has been the most likely Phillies player to be traded before Wednesday's 4 p.m. ET non-waiver trade deadline.
The 23-year-old Asche hit .295 with 24 doubles, four triples, 15 home runs and 68 RBI in 104 games with Lehigh Valley this season.
Outfielder Steve Susdorf was designated for assignment.
