ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Two months after its arrival, a Spanish tall ship will leave the First Coast Monday.
A goodbye ceremony will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday on the dock at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina.
Departure is between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m.
El Galeon is a 170-foot replica of a 16th century galleon.
It has been docked in St. Augustine since May 21st, and it sets sail for New York City Monday.
After the port call in the Big Apple, the crew plans to take the ship to Puerto Rico for a film project.
If all goes as planned, the crew plans to return at the end of the year or early next year.
