Kansas City, KS (Sports Network) - Soony Saad bagged a brace and Claudio Bieler added another to see Sporting Kansas City cruise to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Toronto FC at Sporting Park on Saturday.
Saad notched his first goal of the season in the 21st minute of Saturday's clash, collecting a pass from Seth Sinovic and firing a low shot past Joe Bendik from outside the box.
Sporting's lead was doubled six minutes into the second half when Graham Zusi's shot was parried away by Bendik, but Saad was arriving to turn in the rebound.
Bieler helped the home side extend the lead by capping off a well-worked move in the 63rd minute. Kei Kamara released Benny Feilhaber into the penalty area before the U.S. international squared a pass for Bieler to tuck home with ease for his ninth goal of the season.
Sporting (9-5-6) climbs to the top of the Eastern Conference by improving to 33 points this term, while Toronto (2-9-7) remains second from bottom with 13 points.
