Boston, MA (Sports Network) - New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandezwas reportedly tied to a man who was found dead Monday night.
The body of Odin Lloyd was found near Hernandez's home in North Attleboro,Mass. on Monday night. Police have begun the investigation as a homicide andmet with Hernandez at his home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
FOX-25 in Boston cited a law enforcement source as saying that Hernandez andLloyd were with two other men at a bar in Boston on the night of the homicideand left together in a vehicle driven by Hernandez. The report said it isstill unclear as to what happened afterward.
Sports Illustrated first broke the story on Tuesday, saying Hernandez wasquestioned by Massachusetts state police in its investigation. According toSI.com, police have connected a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban rented in Hernandez'sname with the homicide of Lloyd.
Hernandez has spent three seasons with the Patriots. He set career highs of 79catches, 910 receiving yards and seven touchdowns during his Pro Bowl seasonof 2011, then played in just 10 games due to injuries last year and finishedwith 51 receptions for 483 yards with five touchdowns.
