BUNNELL, Fla. -Shaun Williams said he was left for dead on the side of the road after what was supposed to be his first date with a woman.

"It's starting to get a little bit better but I got stitches," Shaun Williams said. "My whole eye socket is broken. Everything is fractured."

The woman brought two men with her when she picked Williams up. At first she claimed the men were her brother and cousin. She said she just had to drop the men off.

Officers said, however, that the trio had something sinister in mind.

"The next thing I know I was left for dead on the side of the highway somewhere," Williams said.

The three thieves drove Williams 30 miles away from his Holly Hill home to Bunnell in rural Flagler County.

Williams was stripped and beaten.

"(They) pistol-whipped me, hit me in the eye twice with a gun," he said. "When someone has a loaded gun to your head -- has the trigger pulled back -- you have no choice but to submit."

After he woke on the side of the road, he flagged down a trucker for help.

"I was embarrassed. I was stripped naked," he said.

Williams may need surgery on his eye. His attackers are still on the run.

Anyone with information in this case should contact authorities.
