ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Goods allegedly stolen by five women at an outlet mall were recovered by police on Interstate 95 Monday evening.
The group of women, one of which is a juvenile, were pulled over after leaving the St. Augustine Premium Outlet Mall, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
Arrested on felony retail theft charges were Lakycra Arie Gardner, 24, of Jacksonville, and Shacarrie Deasia Heyward, 18; Mia Nicole Dock, 19, and Jasmonique Lavon Franklin, 22, all of Savannah, Ga. First Coast News is not identifying the juvenile arrested.
Police responded to a shoplifting in progress just before 6 p.m. The women were observed leaving in a white Nissan Altima. SJSO spotted the vehicle heading north on I-95.
Police conducted the traffic stop at the northbound rest stop near I-95 and County Road 210.
They found clothes from Nike Outlet, Gap Outlet, Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, Aeropostale Outlet, Reebok/Rockport Outlet and Polo/Ralph Lauren, as well as tools to remove anti-theft devices.
The total value of the stolen clothes was more than $2,500.
All of the stolen goods were recovered, according to SJSO.
