Paris, France (Sports Network) - Rain is wreaking havoc on Tuesday's schedule at the 2013 French Open.
A 2 1/2-hour delay prevented play from getting underway, and more rain came after players took to the courts at Stade Roland Garros.
Ninth-seeded Samantha Stosur got her work in, as the former U.S. Open champion and 2010 French Open runner-up leveled 42-year-old Japanese Kimiko Date-Krumm 6-0, 6-2 in the opening round.
The 29-year-old Stosur has reached at least the semifinals in Paris three of the last four years.
Third-seeded former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka is also on Tuesday's schedule, as the Australian Open champion and U.S. Open runner-up is slated to meet Russian Elena Vesnina.
