(USA Today) -- Amanda Bynes just can't stay off the media radar this holiday weekend after an arrest on drug-related charges Thursday in New York.
The good news is that the celebrity newsmaker just might be ready for a fresh start.
On Monday, the actress, 27, said via Twitter: "I'm getting in shape and getting a nose job! I'm looking forward to a long and wonderful career as a singer/rapper!"
But she might not be moving on quite so quickly. That bit of news was at the end of a longer message in which she said she would sue law enforcement "for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia, then I'm suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will, then locked up overnight for coming home after a facial and working out with my trainer like the good girl that I am."
The actress has been making headlines through the weekend since she was arrested Thursday in New York. The incident remains in the media spotlight as Bynes tweeted about the arrest and made accusations of sexual harassment by officers when she was taken into custody and booked for marijuana possession and for throwing a bong out of her 36th-floor apartment window.
Bynes wore a bizarre platinum blond wig as she was escorted from her apartment building and when she appeared in court Friday.
The latest developments follow news Saturday that the New York Police Department said it was investigating Bynes' accusations.
