ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Two men are in custody after they allegedly attacked three people with a wooden pole over $10.00.



Deputies with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on the 4600 block of Avenue C Saturday night after two men, Marcus Russell, 33 and 39-year-old Shawn Russell, allegedly forced their way into a home, according to a police report from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.


Once inside the home, Shawn Russell allegedly yelled he wanted his $10.00 and struck two victims with a wooden pole he was armed with, the report detailed. Marcus allegedly entered the home after Shawn, struck one victim and fled in a car.

A third victim in the home was attempting to call 911 when Shawn allegedly grabbed the phone from her and fled the scene on foot.

Deputies caught up with Shawn a short time later, who was allegedly uncooperative with law enforcement commands, according to the report. Shawn was tasered by deputies and taken into custody.


Meanwhile, Marcus was located in the car he fled in at a nearby gas station and was taken into custody without incident.

Shawn and Marcus were also found to be in possession of drugs once in custody.

Both men are facing charges of robbery, aggravated robbery, drug possession and drug equipment possession.

Shawn is facing a bond of $36,000 and Marcus is being held on $15,000.
