JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nearly 40 people were impacted by a two-alarm fire at a Westside apartment complex early Monday morning.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue received a call at 12:20 a.m. in reference to a fire at the Canterbury Garden Apartments on the 1500 block of Lane Avenue South.
According to JFRD dispatch, more than 25 pieces of fire apparatus were dispatched to the scene.
There are no reports of any injuries or fatalities, however it is believed nearly 40 people, or nine to 10 families, were impacted in the blaze. That number is expected to change as needs and losses are assessed.
The American Red Cross confirmed they responded to the fire to help with disaster recovery and relief. Hotel rooms were made available to those who need it.
