ST. JOHNS, Fla. -- Severe weather is affecting the St. Johns county area near St. Augustine.
Around 8:15 an eyewitness told First Coast News they saw a tornado touch down near the World Golf Village area.
The FCN Weather Center is reporting a funnel cloud system near I-95 heading southeast.
Witnesses have also reported seeing quarter sized hail near St. Augustine Beach.
Several roads in the St. Johns county area have been closed due to flooding including a closure of SR-16 near SR-13.
St. Johns County has extended its Tornado Warning until 10 p.m. tonight.
Flash Flood Warnings have been issued for Clay, Duval and St. Johns counties.
Coastal Flood Warnings have been issued for Camden, Duval, Flagler, Glynn, Nassau and St. Johns counties.
Update: The Tornado Warning for St. Johns County was cancelled shortly before 10 p. m.
