JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for twoindividuals who allegedly exploited an elderly woman for $8500.
According to the 82-year-old victim, two individuals came to her home, presented a badge and requested that she assist them in combating identity theft by taking them to the bank and withdrawing a certain amount money.
They also told her that to show their appreciation she would receive a $1,000 reward. The police report said that the suspects drove the victim's car to the Vystar Credit Union on Beach Boulevard.
The suspect shown in the photo, walked into the bank with the victim for the withdrawals from a savings and checking account.
The victim said the money was placed into two envelopes and somehow during this incident the suspects gained control of the envelopes, swapped the money for paper clippings and returned the envelopes to the victim.
According to JSO, the victim was told that the suspects would return later that night in order to give her the reward.
