PALATKA, Fla. -- Deputies serving a warrant at a Palatka home found over 10 children living in sheds and a tent in the backyard.
Detectives with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office noticed a higher than normal amount of burglaries to business along S.R. 207 and Hwy 17 corridors, according to a release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
After an extensive investigation, deputies pinpointed three suspects; William Cribbs, 39, Raymond Sapp, 18, and 18-year-old Charles Blackwelder, according to the release.
Detectives suspect the trio is responsible for several burglaries in Putnam and St. Johns County.
A warrant was issued for a residence on the 100 block of East McCormick Road in east Palatka, where the three were either living or frequented, the release detailed.
Sapp and Blackwelder were taken into custody without incident, according to the PCSO. However, Cribbs' allegedly fled on foot, but was taken into custody a short time later.
While at the home, deputies discovered at least 23 people, including 11 children allegedly living on the property. The children range in age from two-years-old to 16-years-old, according to the PCSO. At least 14 people, including adults and children, were allegedly living in sheds and a tent in the back yard.
Due to the condition of the home and the state the children were living in, the Department of Children and Family Services, Putnam County Codes Enforcement and the Health Department also responded to the scene. The Florida Department of Parole and Probation also responded to the scene, since several people living on site were allegedly on active probation.
The children were removed from the property and placed with other family members.
William Cribb's is charged with burglary and grand theft and being held on a $75,008 bond. Raymond Sapp was charged with burglary nd grand theft and is being held on a $25,008 bond. Charles Blackwelder, Jr. is charged with burglary and grand theft and is being held on a $2,008 bond.
The following people living on the property were charged with child neglect.

Junior ayala was also charged with violation of probation and is being held without bond.
