JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Though it might seem like a creative, new invention, the Elliptigo is just a vehicle for One Spark entrant, Anthony Duran to attract attention to explain his real creation.

"The Workout Navigator is an online platform for health and fitness professionals to brand, create and deliver custom workouts," Duran said. "So if I were to deliver you a workout, all I would have to do is text it to you or Facebook it to you or email it to you. You click, you open it and there's your workout."

But it's not just fitness gurus gracing the One Spark scene. The idea behind the event is that "game-changers" can emerge from anywhere!

"It welcomes people to the beach and it's blue and his cell phone antennas on it. It's really sort of a non-descript tower," said Kurtis Loftus.

Loftus is spearheading an effort to beautify the water tower at Jacksonville Beach.

He said his project ties in perfectly with the event's goals.

"I don't think I could ever do anything publicly with this tower idea because there's no money," Loftus said. "And that was one of my goals to figure out a way to do something where privately, we enhance something and publicly, they would be beneficiaries of that enhancement."

But each vendor has a different underlying goal. For example, local artist Tim Bullard says he's just looking for some additional exposure.

"I do art shows and it's long hours and it's hard, but it's what I love to do and it's what I've always done," Bullard said.

Though each entrant has a personal reason for getting involved, all seem to share the same goal of inspiration and collaboration.

"If we want culture here, we kind of have to cultivate it ourselves. Jacksonville is so spread out, it's hard to bring everybody together," Bullard said.
