(USA TODAY) -- Rejoice, all members of the blue tang clan. Dory, the delightfully forgetful fish memorably voiced by Ellen DeGeneres in Pixar's 2003 animated classic Finding Nemo, will swim back onto the big screen in - what else? - Finding Dory.

The sequel to the Oscar-winning box-office splash, which is scheduled to open Nov. 25, 2015, will take place about a year after the original film, filling in the blanks for both the audience and Dory about why this friendly ocean dweller was all alone when Nemo's dad, Marlin, happened upon her.

Says director Andrew Stanton, "She will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way."
