Heidi Klum is recovering from a major scare over the holiday weekend.
TV's Project Runway host was on vacation with her family Sunday in Oahu, Hawaii, and spending time at the beach.
While there, her 7-year-old son, Henry, was swept away in a dangerous riptide. Two nannies also were at risk as adults attempted to rescue the boy.
Us Weekly reports that Klum and her bodyguard boyfriend Martin Kirsten sprang into action to save the victims.
In a statement released to media, Klum said Monday: "We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely."
