JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man has been charged with murder in the fatal Friday night shooting of his friend.

Peter James Klemm, 40, was arrested in the late Friday night shooting of his friend, 34-year-old John James, according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lt. Rob Schoonover.

The shooting happened in the 10100 block of Arrowhead Drive, where police found James dead on his porch. James was shot one time in the neck.

Prior to the shooting, Klemm and James had gone out drinking together and then got into an argument, Schoonover said.

Klemm, who lived in the same complex as James, returned home and allegedly retrieved a weapon.

Klemm then went to James' apartment, confronted him and shot him.

Police detained Klemm at the scene and admitted to shooting James, though he could not remember what the fight was about, Schoonover said.
