JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- A bank on 3rd Street in Jacksonville Beach was robbed Thursday morning.

A suspect entered the Atlantic Coast Bank at 1700 3rd Street South at 9:31 a.m. Thursday and allegedly demanded money from a teller, according to a statement from eth Jacksonville Beach Police Department.

The suspect is described as heavy-set, about 5-feet-11-inches tall and is in his 30's or 40's. The suspect was wearing a dark colored tee-shirt, dark blue plants and a plain blue ball-cap at the time of the robbery.

Police believe the suspect was driving a a dark colored Chevy Silverado pickup and was last seen traveling south on SR A1A.
