SATSUMA, Fla. --Reports of a foul burning smell helped Putnam County Sheriff's nab a man suspected of making meth.
Deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Yancy Circle after receiving reports of a foul burning odor coming from the area, according to a Facebook post by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Convicted felon, Michael Allen, 59, was allegedly at the residence in question when deputies arrived, the post detailed. After further investigation, Allen was allegedly found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia, according to the post.
Law enforcement officers say they also found several rounds of ammunition, which Allen is prohibited from having as a convicted felon. According to deputies additional items used for making Methamphetamine were also found at the home.
Allen is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and maintaining a drug dwelling.
Allen is currently being heldin the Putnam County Jail on a $9032.
