JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- A teacher at Fletcher Middle School suspended 20 days without pay last month by the Duval County School Board is being reviewed again following a complaint.

District spokesperson Marsha Oliver confirmed a complaint involving Julie Bennettis being reviewed by the district's Office of Professional Standards, but no details on the nature of the complaint were available. Oliversaid no determination has been made whether the complaint will be elevated into an investigation.

Bennett in November was investigatedfor yelling at students,berating them and removing a student who was left unsupervised.

The teacher was suspended for unprofessional conduct.

Last October, Bennett was given a written reprimand by the principal for asking a female student whether she was a boy or girl.

Ten years ago, according to disciplinary records, Bennett got a verbal reprimand for failure to report an alleged sexual battery on a female student.

According tothedistrict, Bennett is in theclassroom at Fletcher Middle while the complaint is reviewed to determine whether it has merit or not.

A phonemessage left at the school for Bennett was not returned.
