DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Two-time Super Bowl champion Ray Lewis got a text message today outlining how he should handle today's green flag start for the Daytona 500.
"I'm a little nervous. Brad texted me on the way in -- the one rule is don't drop the flag," Lewis said with a laugh.
That would be Brad Keselowski, the reigning outspoken Sprint Cup champion who has befriended Lewis. They text each other.
Lewis gave Keselowski a pep talk as he prepared for his final and ultimately Cup-clinching race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Keselowski went to a Baltimore Ravens game before the postseason.
