JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Six cars were involved in a Southside accident Thursday night.

FHP says a white Cadillac was traveling south on Southside Blvd when it crossed over the median into the northbound lanes.

The car then struck five other cars. Sgt. Dylan Bryan with FHP said it is not known at this time what caused the car to drive over the median.

Eight people were taken to Shands, but none had serious or life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Bryan.

Two children were involved in the crash but not injured.

All northbound lanes of Southside were closed for about two hours Thursday night.
