JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Titusville Police Department is looking for a few Good Samaritans who may have unknowingly aided a murder suspect in the Jacksonville area.

On Sunday, January 13, the body of 41-year-old Michelle Renee Chappell was found in her home in Titusville. The investigation led detectives to Brunswick, Georgia, where a gold, four-door Nissan Maxima fled from the Camden County Sheriff's Office. The car then crashed, killing the primary suspect in Chappell's murder.

Detectives still plan to interview the lone survivor of the crash.

Titusville Police believe the Nissan may have run out of gas on I-95 in the Jacksonville area and a Good Samaritan stopped to help them. The person gave them enough gas to start the car and then followed the suspect to a nearby gas station. The Good Samaritan then paid for their gas.
