Tuscaloosa, AL (Sports Network) - Josh Davis recorded a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Tulane Green Wave outlasted the Alabama Crimson Tide, 53-50, in a non-conference matchup at Coleman Coliseum.
Jordan Callahan added 12 points for Tulane (11-3) which has won four straight games.
Nick Jacobs and Trevor Lacey each tallied 12 points to pace Alabama (7-5) which has lost five of its last six.
Alabama had a 25-20 lead at the half after shooting 41.7 percent in the first period. Tulane fell behind by shooting just 28.0 percent.
The Green Wave nailed 5-of-10 shots from 3-point range and shot 44.0 percent overall in the second half to get back in the game. Alabama cooled to 37.5 percent shooting.
After trailing for much of the second half Tulane used an 11-0 run to take a 50-45 lead with 50 seconds remaining. The Green Wave hit 3-of-5 shots from the free throw line in the final 30 seconds to seal the game.
Alabama lost despite outscoring Tulane 28-20 on points in the paint. The Green Wave had a 21-9 edge in points from beyond the arc.
