JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Robbery detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are looking for a man and a woman who allegedly robbed the Red Roof Inn on Airport Road shortly after 6 a.m. Friday.

Shannon Hartley, Public Information Officer for JSO, said police were called to the hotel after a man and a woman walked into the lobby and demanded money from the front desk clerk.

Hartley said the woman hid her hand behind her back and told the clerk she had a gun.

The man walked behind the front desk, Hartley said, and allegedly demanded the money from the register.

Hartley said the front desk clerk gave the two the money from the register and then fled on foot.

The woman is described as being white, in her late 30's or early 40's, approximately 5'5" tall and has long blonde hair with black streaks.

The man is described as being white, in his late 20's or early 30's, approximately 6' tall and has a red goatee.
