Stanford, CA (Sports Network) - Dwight Powell scored 20 points to lead the Stanford Cardinal to a home victory over the UC Davis Aggies, 75-52, at Maples Pavilion.
Powell was efficient from the floor, shooting 8-of-10 for the Cardinal (7-3), who have won three straight. Josh Huestis finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Chasson Randle chipped in 12 points and four assists. Randle shot just 1-of-9 from three-point range.
The Aggies (1-6) were paced by J.T. Adenrele, who scored a game-high 23 points. Corey Hawkins struggled from the floor (3-of-14) but finished with 10 points.
Stanford led by as many as 15 points in the first half and held a 40-29 advantage at intermission. It shot just 31.6 percent in the period but grabbed 11 offensive rebounds.
UC Davis cut the deficit to seven early in the second half, but an 8-0 Cardinal run gave them the momentum back as they cruised to the 23-point victory.
The Cardinal's bench outscored the Aggies', 21-11. Stanford has now won 16 of 17 all-time matchups against UC Davis.
